Every year on the first Friday in July, all the fountains, a monument, and several public buildings are elaborately decorated with flowers, ranging from traditional to unusual.
At several locations, a team of city guides recounts historical facts, anecdotes, and stories about the Maienzug.
In addition, children and young people dressed in white, together with clubs and associations, parade through the city.
On the eve of the parade, however, it's party time: thousands of partygoers gather in the streets of the old town to celebrate exuberantly.

Wild herbs course - the herbs of summer, 8 July 2026, 8617 Mönchaltdorf
Summer is the time of fragrant flowers. On our walk together through the «Naturstation Silberweide» from 6 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., we will discover the herbs of summer and learn how herbs are used in everyday life. Together we will make an herbal product. Price Fr. 60.- /person. Incl. course materials and samples from the wild herb kitchen. Minimum

Dahlia Festival, from mid July to October, 1110 Morges
With about a hundred different varieties, this dahlia festival is a unique event. Between the church of Morges and the Parc de Vertou, it offers a summer walk of more than a kilometer and a half along Lake Geneva. It is in this enchanting setting that about 2,250 dahlias
have been planted, which compete in beauty from July to October.

Les Jardins Musicaux, August 19-30, 2026, Evologia, 2053 Cernier
For those interested in culture, the festival «Les Jardins Musicaux» (The Musical Gardens) takes place from 19-30 August 2026.
Around forty concerts with works from the 20th and 21st centuries take place in the emblematic Grange aux Concerts in Cernier and have been attracting an interested audience for years.

On 29/30 August 2026, Evologia will host the «Fête de la Terre», a large, convivial gathering between city dwellers and country folk.
