The Volg sensory trails are part of the NATURENA experience. They provide fascinating sensory experiences and information about native animals. In German-speaking Switzerland, there are five adventure trails (Fricktal, Seebachtal, Werdenberg, Zugerland, and Seeland), each with eight stations. Along the way, you will be amazed at the abilities of animals. In Zugerland, for example, you will wonder: how many verses are there in the nightingale’s song? How do reptiles regulate their body temperature? In Fricktal (AG), you learn exciting facts about lynxes, squirrels or snakes and lizards. On the Five-Senses Trail near Hüttwilen in the Seebachtal (TG) you learn about foxes, butterflies and raccoons. In Werdenberg (SG), the focus is on insects, birds of prey and bats. And in the Seeland (BE), you hear everything about the tactile senses of birds as well as which local forest dwelling animal is a gifted climber.
