Fleurop at the Tour de Suisse, June 12-22, 2025
The Tour de Suisse is the biggest sporting event in Switzerland and attracts around one million spectators along the route every year. Fleurop is once again an Official Supplier.
Tour de Suisse - and its history
Since it was first held in 1933, the Tour de Suisse has been the scene of countless stories. Dramas and heroic tales have been written on the route. The winner of the first tour was Austrian professional cyclist Max Bulla. Since then, many famous riders have won the tour, including numerous Swiss. Starting in 2015, the start and finish weekends were reorganized as a HUB, an innovation that was a huge success. In 2021, efforts were made to hold the first Tour de Suisse Women, which took place in June with two stages. Just one year later, there were four stages. When the four-day tour was held for the first time as a UCI Women's World Tour race in 2023, a Swiss rider won the overall classification. Marlen Reusser, Switzerland's leading female cyclist, took the overall victory in Ebnat-Kappel.
Tour de Suisse Women, June 12-15, 2025
New in 2025: the Tour de Suisse Women will start BEFORE the men's race - making the event even more attractive for the teams. But one thing remains the same: to win the yellow jersey, you must aim high! More than 500 kilometers and nearly 7,000 meters of elevation gain will be covered in four stages – the longest and toughest women's tour to date. The battle for the title begins in the first few kilometers in Gstaad and culminates in the final stage around Küssnacht.
Tour de Suisse Men, June 15-22, 2025
In 2025 too, the Tour de Suisse Men will remain one of the most important weeks in cycling, with a varied and challenging route. For the second time, the 88th edition will also take the riders to Italy. The start in Küssnacht and the finish in Stockhütte are only 16 kilometers apart – but for the professionals, there are more than 1,300 kilometers and over 20,000 meters of elevation gain to cover in between. This makes the tour a real battle! Tour director Olivier Senn promises: «In June, Central Switzerland is the epicenter of cycling. On both weekends, we expect fantastic races and a huge public festival for the cycling-crazy population.»
Fleurop - masterful winner's bouquets for the best cyclists
Fleurop loves sports, speed, and sustainability - that's why the largest flower delivery network got involved with the Tour de Suisse early on. Of course, Fleurop will be there again this year - for both men and women! After each stage there are beautiful winners' bouquets, of course, but also funny plants for men that create a great atmosphere in the VIP area. And since the VIP bus follows the race and is always on hand, the plants will also be there at every stage.
Roses in the VIP area - hot flirting not excluded
Speaking of plants for men: they also decorate the VIP area at the Tour de Suisse Women. The green guys have long since conquered the hearts of the ladies and like to flirt with the opposite sex, even during a bike race. And finally: beautiful colored roses decorate the entrance to the VIP area, but only until the VIPs leave. Then they are distributed to the guests - for a touch of romance and a greeting that is guaranteed to be remembered.
Cycling is sustainable - and so is Fleurop
The Tour de Suisse is not only the biggest sporting event of the year in Switzerland, but also a reflection of the current trend: 42% of Swiss people are enthusiastic cyclists. Cycling combines sport, environmental awareness and joie de vivre - and shows how sustainable mobility can be. Fleurop is also committed to sustainability. As a leading flower delivery network, Fleurop transmits orders electronically directly to local florists around the world, thereby supporting regional trade and reducing CO₂ emissions. For Fleurop, environmental protection, climate change and sustainability are not just empty promises.
