FleuropHOME - with sustainable and socially committed suppliers

The FleuropHOME lifestyle store works almost exclusively with Swiss suppliers. Some of the many items are produced sustainably, ecologically, energy-efficiently, fairly or socially.

FleuropHOME also with sustainable products and socially committed suppliers
FleuropHOME is a lifestyle webshop where a wide variety of suppliers can sell their products. Accordingly, the range includes not only flowers and plants, but also decorative items, lifestyle products, children's clothes and treats. These include products from partners who are committed to sustainability or who produce socially.
Sustainable flowers and plants
Take, for example, the company Gorilla Gardening and its seed balls. They stand for sustainability, local sourcing, and high quality. Most products are handmade in Wabern near Bern, with a strong emphasis on eco-friendly materials. In addition, for every seed ball sold, the company supports the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to protect mountain gorillas. Or the plants from Säntispracht, which are cultivated under particularly sustainable conditions. They are mostly grown outdoors and without hormones, avoiding single-use containers and, as far as possible, peat and coconut fiber in the soil. The company is also «Suisse Garantie» certified. Last but not least VEG and the City offers sustainable floral foam made from organic material and baskets crafted from natural materials such as cotton and eelgrass.
Gottlieber - with organically grown ingredients and fair-trade raw materials
Gottlieber is committed to treating our Earth's limited resources responsibly and therefore places high priority on purchasing within its home region and avoiding unnecessary transport miles. Not least, Gottlieber Spezialitäten AG chooses high-quality, certified and organically grown ingredients and fair-trade raw materials (cocoa and coffee) and uses only organic, free-range eggs.

Gottlieber - with electricity from renewable Swiss sources
Thanks to FAIR POWER, Gottlieber Spezialitäten AG obtains the electricity for its company from renewable Swiss sources. The company’s facility is FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) certified, and the products are always inspected according to strict standards of quality (according to HACCP principle). Gottlieber products can be found at FleuropHOME and Fleurop.ch.
Maestrani
Maestrani - first manufacturer of organic and Fairtrade chocolate
Maestrani was the first Swiss chocolate manufacturer to produce organic and Fairtrade chocolate. In the meantime, sustainability has become a fixed value in the company philosophy: Maestrani has been manufacturing carbon-neutral chocolate since 2013. From 2016, Maestrani has increased the proportion of main suppliers with their own sustainability program to the current figure of 81%. Since 2016, the proportion of certified sustainable cocoa raw materials is 100%. The «All Natural» initiative was launched in 2022: now, all cocoa is certified as Fairtrade or higher.
Maestrani's chocolate - exclusively swissmade
Maestrani develops and produces its range of chocolate exclusively in Switzerland and uses natural raw materials almost exclusively. Maestrani does not use artificial colorings in its chocolate, it has reduced artificial flavorings to the absolute essentials and has also continuously increased the proportion of organic raw materials. With the construction of a new power plant, it has been possible to continuously improve energy efficiency. The power plant supplies both the «Maestrani's Chocolarium» visitor center and parts of the factory with power. Maestrani products can be found at FleuropHOME and Fleurop.ch.
Sustainability also applies to everyday items and children’s clothing
Elsewhere, too, you’ll frequently come across vendors who prioritize sustainability. Take, for example, the Swiss studio «HW Designs», which specializes in creating decorative objects produced in small batches from eco-friendly materials. Each piece is handmade and combines functionality with understated elegance. Or «Das tanzende Schneiderlein». This company stands for sustainability, Swiss craftsmanship, and high quality. Every product is crafted with care using high-quality materials to provide lasting enjoyment. The connection to Swiss craftsmanship and the attention to detail are reflected in every single piece.
Sustainable accessories from socially committed suppliers
Happy Trays is also committed to sustainability. Their trays are made from sustainable, renewable materials. The company attaches great importance to designing locally, sourcing sustainably and producing under exemplary conditions: all in Europe and in small quantities. Happy Trays also invests a percentage of its revenue in the protection of regional forests and their biodiversity. Finally, the products from Surs AG should also be mentioned. They are made in Spain by people with different skills. By choosing them, you are helping to promote the social inclusion of these people. But there are many more sustainable or socially committed suppliers in practically every department. Details can be found on FleuropHOME in the descriptions of the suppliers and products.
