💞 Evologia - a trip to Wonderland

Evologia is located in Cernier – and believe me, it's a place you should definitely visit! Why? Because the nature there is simply amazing! But that's not all. Evologia is so original and has a playful way of teaching and entertaining you. There's something exciting and fun for everyone, young or old, to discover here. So, fasten your seat belts and let yourself be whisked away: to the rabbit hill, to the Fleur Boréale, to the sculpture garden and much more! Here are a few highlights that will blow your mind.

A safari is the perfect way to observe nature and its animals! In Cernier, you can discover animals in the Jardins Extraordinaires. Pro Evologia was inspired by Sylvain Lefebvre's book «Safari in the Garden» and presents his «Big Five» in the form of monumental willow sculptures. These are located between the parking lot and Mycorama, as well as in the park. There are also smaller works that show biodiversity. Information panels explain everything about the animals and their plant friends. Let yourself be enchanted by nature!

This is truly an almost magical place! The Fleur Boréale, the absolute emblem of Evologia, looks like a giant, shimmering bellflower, perched cheerfully in a large pool of water with stone columns. If you look around a bit, you will repeatedly come across fantastic contemporary sculptures that capture the fleeting moments of time – and at a pace that could make you dizzy! Here, art comes to life and invites you to marvel!

Here is an exciting experience for all nature lovers: thanks to a glass beehive, you can experience up close how fascinating the life of these little insects really is! Watch their incessant coming and going – it's like a living bee traffic! And don't worry, the educational information boards are super helpful. They tell you everything about the structure of the honeycombs and the different cells for pollen, honey and brood. Here, the life of a bee becomes a real adventure – learn, marvel and enjoy the little wonders of nature!

Welcome to «La Colline aux Lapins», the rabbit hill! Originally founded as an animal shelter, this special place was created in 2008, when many rabbits were abandoned. The main goal of the shelter is to show visitors how to lovingly and responsibly care for these cute animals. It's not all about cuddles – there are also exciting discovery workshops and fun activities where you can get to know the little hoppers better. Whether you want to learn more about their needs or just have fun, this place has something for every rabbit lover! Come and experience the world of rabbits up close!

Every year, a wide variety of animal species, including many birds, pass through the Evologia site. To help this fascinating spectacle along, Pro Evologia has built an impressive swallow tower. Around fifty nests have been placed at a height so that all visitors can watch the busy swallows building and feeding their young! The base of the swallow tower is lovingly lined with flowering plants that attract a variety of insects. This not only creates a pretty picture but also brings the entire environment to life. A visit here is not only a feast for the eyes, but also an exciting experience for nature lovers!

Food shows us the important relationships between humans, animals and plants, which are the key to understanding domestication. The Permaculture area encourages us to think about our place in nature and the environment. We invite you to explore the newly designed area, which has been created over the last three years. Here we promote biodiversity by using wood deposits, decorating the entrance ark and creating habitats for amphibians. The permaculture garden offers informative, thematic boards that encourage reflection on human actions in harmony with nature. Come and discover more!

Take off your shoes and let your feet feel the different natural elements! On our barefoot trail, you will walk barefoot over wood, stone, earth and water. This original and fun experience offers an exciting variety of sensations that will invigorate your senses. Every step is a journey of discovery that connects you with nature and gives you a whole new sense of the world around you. Let yourself be surprised and enjoy the special feeling of walking barefoot through nature!

On August 23/24, 2025 and August 22/23, 2026, Evologia will host the «Fête de la Terre» (Earth Festival), a large, convivial gathering that aims to bring people together and introduce them to nature and agriculture. Of course, this is also done through the love that «goes through the stomach» and always builds many bridges. For those interested in culture, the festival «Les Jardins Musicaux» (The Musical Gardens) takes place from August 20-31, 2025 and August 19-30, 2026. Around forty concerts with works from the 20th and 21st centuries take place in the emblematic concert barn in Cernier and have been attracting an interested audience for years.
