20 March is the «Day of Happiness»!

Are you happy? Do you make others happy? 20 March is International Day of Happiness and therefore a good moment to focus on happiness.
On 20 March, the motto is: don't worry, be happy!
Did you know that 20 March is the Day of Happiness? In 2012, the United Nations decided to establish an International Day of Happiness and set it worldwide on March 20. On its homepage, the United Nations writes that lasting happiness doesn't depend on what you consume, how you look or how much you earn, and that the world is full of opportunities to be happy. In other words, think about the positive aspects and happy moments in your life, whether that's health, a secure job, a loving partner, reliable friends, springtime, or simply a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Be happy. Oh, yeah. According to the UN's World Happiness Report 2022, the happiest people live in Finland, Denmark, and Iceland, with Switzerland in fourth place.
Share your happiness with others
The Day of Happiness should also remind us that the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental human need. Research on happiness shows the importance of our connectedness with other people. Unfortunately, modern societies are built as if the opposite were true. We are surrounded by people, but in many cases, we feel close to almost no one. The consequences are devastating. Today, social isolation shortens human life as much as an unhealthy lifestyle. We could change that by reaching out and establishing at least ONE positive contact with another human being. Let's get active: in person, by phone, or even online, and above all, let's not forget that flowers make people happy too. Of course, this doesn't just apply to March 20.
